That's the Dutch cover on the top. It comes out in Holland in March. For those of you who didn't get the bird head reference, it's Mary Poppins' umbrella head from the movie. Thanks goodness the story can stand on its own legs....you have read it right??????

I have read it. Not sure how much that influences my decision. But the Dutch cover is very busy, I wonder if I care about all that stuff. The umbrella bat is mysterious and cryptic, what is the meaning of it? Despite the bat being front and center of the American cover, the Dutch cover looks like the story has more baseball in it, which wouldn't appeal to me. So, I think I wouldn't read the Dutch version.
GREAT book, by the way, which I read based on Gig's recommendation. Otherwise, I would have skipped it. So glad I did read it.
